At Black Cactus Co-Working, we are committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community where creativity, culture, and collaboration thrive. Today, we are thrilled to welcome two talented individuals who will play key roles in expanding our arts and events initiatives: Monique, our new Events Coordinator, and Keight, our new Arts Coordinator.

Expanding the Adobe Mara Arts Walk and 100 Desert Artists of Color Programs

Monique and Keight bring a wealth of experience and passion that will be instrumental in growing our signature programs. With their coordination, we’re excited to take the Adobe Mara Arts Walk to new heights, making it an even more dynamic celebration of the rich artistic heritage of Twentynine Palms. The 100 Desert Artists of Color program will also see significant growth, as we work to showcase the incredible talent within our community and provide more opportunities for these artists to connect, collaborate, and thrive.

Increasing the Availability of Art for Purchase at Black Cactus

A key focus for Keight will be increasing the availability of art for purchase at Black Cactus. By curating a diverse selection of works from local artists, Keight will help create a space where members and visitors alike can not only enjoy but also support the creative talent in our region. Whether you’re looking for a piece to inspire your workspace or a unique gift, the art available at Black Cactus will reflect the vibrant and diverse artistic community we’re proud to be part of.

Enhancing Our Events Strategy

Monique will be spearheading the expansion of our events strategy, bringing fresh ideas and creative flair to a wide range of programs. From Workshops and Trainings that help our members develop new skills, to Networking Opportunities that foster meaningful connections, Monique’s expertise will ensure our events are engaging, inspiring, and valuable.

Monique Nearing, Events Coordinator

Events Coordinator and Creative Specialist with a diverse background in creative design and event planning, Monique brings a unique blend of innovation and organizational expertise. Her experience as a Creative Designer, Creative Associate, will be invaluable as she helps us craft inspiring events that foster collaboration and creativity within our community.

Kaitlyn Bretz, Arts Coordinator

With a passion for the arts and a keen eye for detail, Keight has a rich background in curating and managing creative projects. Her experience in the arts community and her dedication to fostering artistic expression will be instrumental in enhancing our cultural initiatives.

Keight will complement this work by focusing on Cultural Events and Art Exhibitions, bringing together artists, performers, and the community to celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of our region. Together, Monique and Keight will also enhance our Community Discussions and Panels, creating spaces for important conversations on topics ranging from sustainability to the latest trends in technology and business. And, of course, they’ll be instrumental in organizing Special Events that bring our community together, such as the Dine 29 food festival and the Adobe Mara Arts Walk.

Looking Ahead

With Monique and Keight on board, Black Cactus Co-Working is poised to become an even more vibrant hub for creativity, culture, and collaboration. We’re excited to see the new energy and ideas they’ll bring to our community, and we’re confident that their contributions will help us continue to grow and thrive.

Please join us in welcoming Monique and Keight to the Black Cactus family. We can’t wait to see the incredible impact they will have on our programs and events. Stay tuned for more exciting developments as we continue to expand our offerings and create a space where everyone can find inspiration, connection, and success.
